B. Michael Carroll
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Carroll co-founded Heritage Trust and has served as the president and CEO since its inception in 1997. He has more than 33 years of experience in the trust industry in Oklahoma. Mr. Carroll began his career in 1974 with the First National Bank and Trust Company of Oklahoma City in the trust tax division where he prepared and reviewed federal and state fiduciary tax returns. Soon after, he managed trust operations and eventually became a vice president and trust officer in personal trust administration.

Later, Mr. Carroll worked for Liberty National Bank and Trust Company where he served first as vice president and trust officer and later as senior vice president and trust officer and head of the personal trust administration and tax divisions. Prior to joining Heritage Trust, Mr. Carroll was employed with Bank One as a senior vice president responsible for trust administration in the Oklahoma City market and the western part of the state.  Mr. Carroll has extensive experience in trust administration, accounting and tax matters involving family businesses and partnerships, many nontraditional trust assets, as well as public and private charitable trusts and foundations.

A graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, Mr. Carroll holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting. In 2007, he received the Outstanding Alumni Award from OC. In addition, Mr. Carroll is a graduate of both the National Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin and the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.  Mr. Carroll is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor. He holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Currently, Mr. Carroll gives back to his community through his service on the Business Advisory Council of Oklahoma Christian University and by serving on the board of directors for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and the Last Frontier Council – Boy Scouts of America. He has previously served on the boards of the American Diabetes Association – Oklahoma City Chapter and the Edmond Educational Endowment. Mr. Carroll also volunteers his time with various civic organizations, including Friends of the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter, The Children’s Center and Memorial Road Church of Christ outreach and mission programs.

Mr. Carroll is an Eagle Scout and the father of three Eagle Scouts. He is a former coach and referee of youth soccer in Edmond. Mr. Carroll and his wife, Lisa, are active members of Memorial Road Church of Christ. In his free time, he enjoys reading and surfing the Web.
