Ben R. Byers
Senior Vice President, Trust Officer

In 2004, Mr. Byers joined Heritage Trust as a senior vice president and trust officer where he focuses on relationships with foundations, endowments and tax-exempt entities. He was previously employed with Bank of Oklahoma as the Oklahoma City personal trust manager.

Mr. Byers began his banking career 34 years ago at Liberty National Bank and Trust Company of Oklahoma City. Later, he served as the statewide manager of employee benefit services for Hibernia National Bank in New Orleans and later the statewide institutional trust manager for Colorado National Bank in Denver.

Community involvement is an important part of Mr. Byers’ career. Currently, he serves on the boards of the Catholic Foundation, Oklahoma City All Sports Association, OKC Estate Planned Giving Council and the Salvation Army Advisory Council. Additionally, he serves as the president of the western plains division for Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity and of the Delta Alpha House Corporation University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Byers is a Leadership Oklahoma City Class IV graduate. He previously served on the boards and volunteered with the Arts Council of Oklahoma City, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Rebuilding Together with Christmas in April, YMCA, Parents Assistance Center, March of Dimes and the American Heart Association.

He and his wife, Terry, have been married for 36 years. They have two daughters, Brooke Byers Holman and Meredith Byers Roan. In his free time, Mr. Byers enjoys playing golf, cooking, restoring classic muscle cars and collecting wine.
